2019 Report

When The Well Life Foundation was founded in early 2017, we began with a mission to support and empower women to actualize their potential, awaken their dreams, and play a powerful role in inspiring peace by providing tools and guidance to achieve a life of balance and joy. 
To support this mission, in 2019 we began funding projects for nonprofit organizations and community groups that support and empower women, as well as small business start up grants for women-owned and women-supporting small businesses. 
We continue to offer scholarships to Dragontree Life Coaching, and added scholarships for other job training and education programs in 2019 as well. 
Here’s what we funded in 2019:

2019 Dragontree Life Coaching Scholarships

Dragontree Life Coaching is a complete, holistic life coach training program that also provides business training and ongoing community support. When coaches graduate they are fully prepared to open their own part time or full time coaching business, allowing for a flexible, lucrative career working from home.

Small Business Start Up Grants for Women-Owned & Women-Supporting Businesses.

Sea of Serenity Massage
$1,150 grant to assist with purchase of equipment to provide low-income women with community-based therapeutic massage and touch.
Whole Mama Project
$5,000 grant to assist with creation of a Whole Mama Postpartum course, to better prepare women for the changes in their body and life after birth. 

 

Nonprofit/Community Grants for Organizations serving women

The Fostering Change Network Foundation, a nonprofit in Maryland that provides alumni of the foster care system ages 25 and over with resources that will support their personal and professional development and endeavors within the child welfare and social enterprise fields.
Our grant to FCN helps them provide the Global Ambassadors Program, a 12 month program of ongoing support, education and networking for alumni of foster care as they prepare be efficient and credible leaders within business, child welfare and other professional fields.
Halo Incubator, an organization in New York that acts as a ‘pre-accelerator’ for early stage women founders in the US. The 2-month long program is designed for early-stage women founders to help them accelerate their companies to the next stage in product launch, revenue generation and assisting in getting them angel or seed financing.
GrahamHaven Foundation, Forever Family, We Care Program (FFWCP), which provides transitional housing and care coordination services to homeless alumni of foster care to help them become successful and independent in Pennsylvania. Our grant helps them provide Care Coordination, which is an added support network to assist with linkages to services that are beneficial to them.
The Well Life Foundation also provided group coaching for two 3-month cohorts in 2019, with the help of two Illuminator volunteers.

The Well Life Foundation spent just 5% of our budget on ALL costs outside of grants and scholarships in 2019!
